Problem

Answer the following questions related to trigonometric functions. a. (i) State the fundamental Pythagorean identity involving sin⁡θ\sin \theta and cos⁡θ\cos \theta. b. (ii) Determine, with reasons, the signs (positive or negative) of sin⁡θ\sin \theta and cos⁡θ\cos \theta when θ\theta lies in the third quadrant. c. (iii) An angle θ\theta is such that sin⁡θ=−45\sin \theta = -\dfrac{4}{5} and θ\theta lies in the third quadrant. Find the corresponding value of cos⁡θ\cos \theta. Show your working clearly.
