Problem

Let Q(2,3)\mathbb{Q}(\sqrt{2}, \sqrt{3}) be the field generated by elements of the form a+b2+c3+d6a + b\sqrt{2} + c\sqrt{3} + d\sqrt{6}, where a,b,c,da, b, c, d are in Q\mathbb{Q}. Prove that Q(2,3)\mathbb{Q}(\sqrt{2}, \sqrt{3}) is a vector space of dimension 4 over Q\mathbb{Q}. Find a basis for Q(2,3)\mathbb{Q}(\sqrt{2}, \sqrt{3}). Hint. Q(2,3)\mathbb{Q}(\sqrt{2}, \sqrt{3}) has basis {1,2,3,6}\{1, \sqrt{2}, \sqrt{3}, \sqrt{6}\} over Q\mathbb{Q}.
