Problem

An architect designs a parabolic archway defined by the equation x2=−4yx^{2} = -4y (where units are in meters). The top of the arch is at the origin (0,0)(0,0). A triangular glass pane is to be fitted with one vertex at the top of the arch and the other two vertices at the points where the arch meets the ground level at y=−9y = -9 meters. Determine the area of this glass pane.
