Problem

A wall consists of two layers in series: layer A has thickness dA=10  cmd_A = 10\;\text{cm} and thermal conductivity kA=0.50  W/(m⋅K)k_A = 0.50\;\text{W/(m}\cdot\text{K)}; layer B has dB=5.0  cmd_B = 5.0\;\text{cm} and kB=2.0  W/(m⋅K)k_B = 2.0\;\text{W/(m}\cdot\text{K)}. The outer faces are at T1=30∘CT_1 = 30^\circ\text{C} and T2=10∘CT_2 = 10^\circ\text{C}. Find the heat flux and the temperature at the interface.
