Problem

Suppose (Ω,F,P)(\Omega, \mathcal{F}, P) is a probability space and A,B∈FA, B \in \mathcal{F}. Prove that the following are equivalent. • AA and BB are independent events. • AA and Ω∖B\Omega \setminus B are independent events. • Ω∖A\Omega \setminus A and BB are independent events. • Ω∖A\Omega \setminus A and Ω∖B\Omega \setminus B are independent events.
