Problem

(i) Define (a) a function and (b) the range of a relation. (ii) Let A={1,2,3}A=\{1,2,3\} and B={3,4,5}B=\{3,4,5\}. A relation RR from AA to BB is given by R={(1,3),(2,5),(1,4),(3,5)}.R=\{(1,3),(2,5),(1,4),(3,5)\}. Determine whether RR is a function from AA to BB, clearly stating the reason for your answer. (iii) State the domain, co-domain, and range of RR. If RR is not a function, identify the ordered pair that violates the definition.
