Problem

The linear equation 4x−5y+20=04x - 5y + 20 = 0 is given. Use it to answer the following questions: a. (i) Find the xx-intercept and the yy-intercept of the line. b. (ii) Plot the intercepts obtained in part (i) on graph paper and draw the straight line passing through them. c. (iii) Using your graph, estimate the value of yy when x=7x = 7. Verify this value by substituting x=7x = 7 in the equation. d. (iv) Determine whether the point (−5,3)(-5, 3) lies on this line. Show complete working.
