Problem

(a) Make a rough estimate of how long it will take for Earth's rotation period to reach 47 days, at which time it will be synchronized with the Moon's orbital period. (b) Based on what you know about the evolution of our Sun, will future inhabitants of Earth ever get the opportunity to see the Earth--Moon system completely synchronized (Earth always keeping the same ``face'' toward the Moon)? Why or why not?
