An electron moves through a uniform magnetic field of magnitude 0.25T with its velocity making an angle of 60∘ with the field.
a. (i) Determine the magnitude of the magnetic force experienced by the electron when its speed is 3.0×107ms−1.
b. (ii) The magnetic field is increased by 20%, the speed of the electron is decreased by 10%, and the angle between its velocity and the field is reduced to 30∘. Calculate the new magnitude of the magnetic force.
c. (iii) Find the percentage change in the magnitude of the force relative to the value obtained in part (i).
