Consider the function p:[−2,2]→Rp:[-2,2]\to\mathbb{R} given by p(x)=4−x2+xp(x)=\sqrt{4-x^{2}}+x. Respond to the questions below. a. (i) Explain why the domain of pp is exactly the closed interval [−2,2][-2,2]. b. (ii) Let p(x)=yp(x)=y. Eliminate the square root to obtain a polynomial relation between xx and yy. c. (iii) Taking into account the domain condition from part (i), determine all possible real values of yy that satisfy the relation obtained in part (ii). d. (iv) Hence, write the range of pp in interval notation.
