In a series R–L–C circuit the measured rms voltages across the individual elements are
VR=120V, VL=190V and VC=70V.
The circuit is driven by a single-phase AC source of frequency 50Hz carrying an rms current Irms.
Solve the following:
a. (i) Find the magnitude of the net reactive voltage (VL−VC) in the circuit.
b. (ii) Determine the rms value of the supply voltage.
c. (iii) Calculate the phase angle between the supply voltage and the current, stating whether the current leads or lags.
