Problem

Suppose T∈L(V)T \in \mathcal{L}(V), λ∈F\lambda \in \mathbf{F}, and mm is a positive integer such that the minimal polynomial of TT is a polynomial multiple of (z−λ)m(z - \lambda)^m. Prove that dim⁡null⁡(T−λI)m≥m.\dim \operatorname{null}(T - \lambda I)^m \geq m.
