Problem

For Steenrod powers there are relations ∑j(kj)Ppn−k+j−1Pn−j=0\sum_j \binom{k}{j} P^{pn-k+j-1}P^{n-j} = 0 derived from the basic relation Ppn−1Pn=0P^{pn-1}P^n = 0. Show that these relations follow from the Adem relations.
