A student has a mass of 60 kg60\,\text{kg}. Take the acceleration due to gravity on the Earth as 9.8 m/s29.8\,\text{m/s}^2 and on the Moon as one-sixth of this value. a. (a) Calculate the student’s weight on the surface of the Earth. b. (b) Calculate the student’s weight on the surface of the Moon. c. (c) The student jumps from rest from a height of 2 m2\,\text{m} above the ground on the Earth. Neglecting air resistance, find his speed just before he reaches the ground. d. (d) If the same jump were performed on the Moon, what would be the speed just before landing? Show your working.
