Problem

Let ff be the bilinear form defined in Exercise 6. Show that ff is degenerate (not non-degenerate). Let V1V_1 be the subspace of VV consisting of the matrices of trace 00, and let f1f_1 be the restriction of ff to V1V_1. Show that f1f_1 is non-degenerate.
