Problem

Show that Lebesgue measure on Rn\mathbf{R}^n is translation invariant. More precisely, show that if E∈BnE \in \mathcal{B}_n and a∈Rna \in \mathbf{R}^n, then a+E∈Bna + E \in \mathcal{B}_n and λn(a+E)=λn(E)\lambda_n(a + E) = \lambda_n(E), where a+E={a+x:x∈E}.a + E = \{a + x : x \in E\}.
