Problem

In this problem we find all kk such that x2−6x+k>17x^2 - 6x + k > 17 for all values of xx. a. If a quadratic in xx is greater than zero for all values of xx, then can it have real roots? b. How can you tell whether or not a quadratic has real roots? c. Use your answers to (a) and (b) to find all values of kk such that x2−6x+k>17x^2 - 6x + k > 17 for all values of xx.
