Problem

Consider the function g(x)=x2−1x3−6x2+11x−6g(x)=\dfrac{x^{2}-1}{x^{3}-6x^{2}+11x-6}. a. (i) Show that x=1x=1 is a root of the denominator x3−6x2+11x−6x^{3}-6x^{2}+11x-6. b. (ii) Factor the denominator completely and list all its real zeros. c. (iii) Hence state the domain of g(x)g(x), giving reasons for every exclusion.
