Problem

Show that the ``original'' beta-decay reaction n→p+en \to p + e would violate conservation of angular momentum (all three particles have spin 12\frac{1}{2}). If you were Pauli, proposing that the reaction is really n→p+e+νˉen \to p + e + \bar{\nu}_e, what spin would you assign to the neutrino?
