Problem

Suppose S∈L(V)S \in \mathcal{L}(V). Prove that SS is a unitary operator if and only if {Sv:v∈V and ∥v∥≤1}={v∈V:∥v∥≤1}.\{Sv : v \in V \text{ and } \|v\| \leq 1\} = \{v \in V : \|v\| \leq 1\}.
