Problem
A point source emitting a spherical wave is at a distance l from a solid wall which totally reflects sound and bounds a half-space occupied by fluid. Determine the ratio of the total intensity of sound emitted by the source to that which would be found in an infinite medium, and the dependence of the intensity on direction for large distances from the source.
