Problem

An inertial frame S′S' moves with constant velocity uu along the xx-axis with respect to frame SS. A photon in frame S′S' is fired at an angle θ′\theta' to the forward direction of motion. Show that the angle θ\theta measured in frame SS is tan⁡θ=tan⁡θ′(1−β2)1/21+βsec⁡θ′,\tan\theta = \frac{\tan\theta'(1-\beta^2)^{1/2}}{1 + \beta\sec\theta'}, where β=u/c\beta = u/c.
