Two point masses are on a straight line:

and

5\,\text{kg}

x=2.0\,\text{m}

. The

5\,\text{kg}

mass is then slid to

x=3.0\,\text{m}

while the

3\,\text{kg}

mass stays put. Calculate the new x-coordinate of the center of mass.
