Problem

Suppose T∈L(V)T \in \mathcal{L}(V) and λ\lambda is an eigenvalue of TT with multiplicity dd. Prove that G(λ,T)=null⁡(T−λI)dG(\lambda, T) = \operatorname{null}(T - \lambda I)^d. If d<dim⁡Vd < \dim V, then this exercise improves 8.20.
