Problem

(Challenging) Explicitly construct an injection from [0,1]×[0,1][0, 1] \times [0, 1] to [0,1][0, 1] (think about why this is so surprising). Then describe the set of numbers in [0,1][0, 1] not in the image of your injection (unless, of course, you managed to construct a bijection). Hint: Consider even and odd digits of the decimal expansion.
