Problem

Two balloons are charged identically and uniformly by rubbing them with wool. One is placed on a scale which is then tared. No charge is transferred to the scale. The other is then placed above it separated by 30 cm. The scale reads 0.32 grams. What is the closest estimate for the charge on each balloon? [Figure: Shows two balloons separated by 30 cm vertically, with bottom balloon on a scale reading 0.32g] A) 200 C B) 200 mC C) 200 μC D) 200 nC E) 200 pC
