Problem

Determine the cross-section for disintegration of a fast deuteron into a separate neutron and proton in scattering by a heavy absorbing nucleus whose radius R0R_0 is large compared with the deuteron wavelength (kR0≫1kR_0 \gg 1, where ℏk\hbar k is the deuteron momentum) and the deuteron radius (E. L. Feinberg 1954; R. J. Glauber 1955; A. I. Akhiezer and A. G. Sitenko 1955).
