Problem

Repeat the last problem for the case in which the particle moves under the simple harmonic attractive field −(mΩ2r)r^-(m\Omega^2 r)\hat{\boldsymbol{r}} with the same law of resistance. Show that, in this case, the body slows down as the orbit contracts. [This problem can be solved exactly in Cartesian coordinates, but do not do it this way.]
