Problem

(a) Construct the spatial wave function (ψ\psi) for hydrogen in the state n=3n = 3, ℓ=2\ell = 2, m=1m = 1. Express your answer as a function of rr, θ\theta, ϕ\phi, and aa (the Bohr radius) only—no other variables (ρ\rho, zz, etc.) or functions (YY, vv, etc.), or constants (AA, c0c_0, etc.), or derivatives, allowed (π\pi is okay, and ee, and 2, etc.). (b) Check that this wave function is properly normalized, by carrying out the appropriate integrals over rr, θ\theta, and ϕ\phi. (c) Find the expectation value of rsr^s in this state. For what range of ss (positive and negative) is the result finite?
