Problem

(a) Suppose G⊆CG \subseteq \mathbb{C} and fn:G→Cf_n : G \to \mathbb{C} for n≥1n \geq 1. Suppose (an)(a_n) is a sequence in R\mathbb{R} with lim⁡n→∞an=0\lim_{n\to\infty} a_n = 0 and, for each n≥1n \geq 1, ∣fn(z)∣≤anfor all z∈G.|f_n(z)| \leq a_n \quad \text{for all } z \in G. Show that (fn)(f_n) converges uniformly to the zero function in GG. (b) Re-prove the statement of Example 7.3.3 using part (a).
