Problem

Two compact masses, each of mass mm, are connected by a light strong wire of length ll. The system is aligned in such a way that the two masses lie along a radial line from a Schwarzschild black hole, and it is released from rest at coordinate radius rr. Obtain an expression for the tension in the wire immediately after the system is released.
