Problem

Two moles of O2\mathrm{O_2} are initially at a pressure of 10510^5 Pa and a temperature of 0∘0^\circC. An adiabatic compression is carried out to a final temperature of 300∘300^\circC. Find the final pressure by integration of equation 7.39. Assume that O2\mathrm{O_2} is a simple ideal gas with a molar heat capacity cpc_p which can be represented by cp=26.20+11.49×10−3T−3.223×10−6T2c_p = 26.20 + 11.49 \times 10^{-3}T - 3.223 \times 10^{-6}T^2 where cpc_p is in J/mole and TT is in kelvins. Answer: Pf≈15×105 PaP_f \approx 15 \times 10^5 \text{ Pa}
