Problem

Consider a Peltier cell with cooling power P=10WP = 10\text{W}, placed on a person's wrist. Let's assume that all of its power is spent on cooling blood flowing through a vein with volumetric flow rate Q=1.6ml⋅s−1Q = 1.6\text{ml}\cdot\text{s}^{-1}. Blood density is ρ=1025kg⋅m−3\rho = 1025\text{kg}\cdot\text{m}^{-3}, its heat capacity c=4.2kJ⋅kg−1⋅K−1c = 4.2\text{kJ}\cdot\text{kg}^{-1}\cdot\text{K}^{-1}. How much cooler is the blood after flowing through the wrist?
