Two smooth spheres A and B of masses

and

0.30\,\text{kg}

move along the same straight line but in opposite directions with speeds

5\,\text{m\,s}^{-1}

and

2\,\text{m\,s}^{-1}

respectively. Take the positive direction as that of A’s initial motion. Calculate the velocities of A and B immediately after they collide elastically.
