Problem

Suppose VV is finite-dimensional and T∈L(V)T \in \mathcal{L}(V). Prove that TT has an upper-triangular matrix with respect to some basis of VV if and only if the dual operator T′T' has an upper-triangular matrix with respect to some basis of the dual space V′V'.
