Problem

Calculate, within the framework of the Bohr model, a numerical value for the following ratio: a. (i) r3 (H)r2 (Li2+)\dfrac{r_{3\,(\text{H})}}{r_{2\,(\text{Li}^{2+})}}, where r3 (H)r_{3\,(\text{H})} is the radius of the third orbit of a hydrogen atom and r2 (Li2+)r_{2\,(\text{Li}^{2+})} is the radius of the second orbit of a doubly-ionised lithium ion (Z=3Z=3). b. (ii) Comment briefly on the physical meaning of the magnitude of the ratio obtained.
