Problem

A particle PP moves under the attractive inverse square field F=−(mγ/r2)r^\boldsymbol{F} = -(m\gamma/r^2)\hat{\boldsymbol{r}}. Initially PP is at the point CC, a distance cc from OO, and is projected with speed (3γ/c)1/2(3\gamma/c)^{1/2} perpendicular to OCOC. Find the polar equation of the path and make a sketch of it. Deduce the angle between OCOC and the final direction of departure of PP.
