Consider the polynomial P(x)=x4+kx3−3x2+5x−2P(x)=x^{4}+kx^{3}-3x^{2}+5x-2. (a) The remainder obtained on dividing P(x)P(x) by x−1x-1 is equal to the remainder obtained on dividing P(x)P(x) by x+2x+2. Find the value(s) of kk that satisfy this condition. (b) Hence determine the common remainder mentioned in part (a).
