Consider the function f:R→Rf:\mathbb R\to\mathbb R defined by f(x)=5x+7f(x)=5x+7. Answer the following. a. (i) Solve the equation f(x)=yf(x)=y for xx in terms of yy. b. (ii) Using the result of part (i), show that ff is onto when its codomain is R\mathbb R. c. (iii) Suppose the codomain is changed to the set 2Z2\mathbb Z of even integers. Determine whether f:R→2Zf: \mathbb R \to 2\mathbb Z remains onto. Give a brief proof to support your conclusion.
