Problem

Prove that a sequence can have only one limit. Hint: Suppose that there is a sequence {zn}\{z_n\} such that zn→ζ1z_n \to \zeta_1 and zn→ζ2z_n \to \zeta_2. Show this assumption implies ζ1=ζ2\zeta_1 = \zeta_2 by proving that for all ε>0\varepsilon > 0, ∣ζ1−ζ2∣<ε|\zeta_1 - \zeta_2| < \varepsilon.
