Problem

An operator B∈L(V)B \in \mathcal{L}(V) is called skew if B∗=−B.B^* = -B. Suppose that T∈L(V)T \in \mathcal{L}(V). Prove that TT is normal if and only if there exist commuting operators AA and BB such that AA is self-adjoint, BB is a skew operator, and T=A+BT = A + B.
