THERMAL CONDUCTION IN FLUIDS

Physics — Landau & Lifshitz · thermal-conduction-incompressible-fluid

Problem

Heat sources with the strength (50.11) are distributed in a layer of material bounded by two parallel planes, which are kept at a constant temperature. Find the condition for a steady temperature distribution to be possible (D. A. Frank-Kamenetskii 1939). The heat source strength is Q=Q0eα(T−T0)Q = Q_0 e^{\alpha(T-T_0)} (equation 50.11).
