Problem

Suppose F=C\mathbf{F} = \mathbf{C} and VV is finite-dimensional. Prove that if TT is an operator on VV such that 11 is the only eigenvalue of TT and ∥Tv∥≤∥v∥\|Tv\| \leq \|v\| for all v∈Vv \in V, then TT is the identity operator.
