Problem

A nonrelativistic particle of mass mm scatters from a fixed repulsive potential, V(r)=k/r2V(r) = k/r^2, where kk is a constant. (a) Find the scattering angle, θ\theta, as a function of the impact parameter, bb. (b) Determine the differential cross section dσ/dΩd\sigma/d\Omega. (c) Find the total cross section.
