Problem

Consider the physical quantities ss, vv, aa, and tt with dimensions [s]=L[s] = L, [v]=LT−1[v] = LT^{-1}, [a]=LT−2[a] = LT^{-2}, and [t]=T[t] = T. Determine whether each of the following equations is dimensionally consistent. (a) v2=2asv^2 = 2as; (b) s=vt2+0.5at2s = vt^2 + 0.5at^2; (c) v=s/tv = s/t; (d) a=v/ta = v/t.
