Problem

Two moles of a monatomic ideal gas are at a temperature of 0∘0^\circC and a volume of 45 liters. The gas is expanded adiabatically (dQ=0dQ = 0) and quasi-statically until its temperature falls to −50∘-50^\circC. What are its initial and final pressures and its final volume? Answer: Pi=0.1P_i = 0.1 MPa, Vf=61×10−3V_f = 61 \times 10^{-3} m3^3
