Problem

A bead of mass m, attached to a string, is pushed and starts to rotate in the vertical plane. Only the gravitational force influences the rotation of the bead. The difference between the tension of the string when the bead is at the lowest point (TLT_L) and when the bead is at the upper point (TUT_U) is: (a) TU−TL=2mgT_U - T_L = 2mg; (b) TU−TL=6mgT_U - T_L = 6mg; (c) TL−TU=2mgT_L - T_U = 2mg; (d) TL−TU=5mgT_L - T_U = 5mg; (e) TL−TU=6mgT_L - T_U = 6mg.
