Problem

A particle of mass m moves with velocity v, and a particle of mass 2m moves with velocity 2v in the direction perpendicular to the direction of motion of the first particle. The same forces begin to act on each particle. After the forces cease to act, the first particle moves at a speed of 2v in the opposite direction to the original one. Determine the velocity of the second particle.
