Problem

Suppose T∈L(V)T \in \mathcal{L}(V), and u1,…,unu_1, \ldots, u_n and v1,…,vnv_1, \ldots, v_n are bases of VV. Prove that the following are equivalent. (a) TT is injective. (b) The columns of M(T)\mathcal{M}(T) are linearly independent in Fn,1\mathbf{F}^{n,1}. (c) The columns of M(T)\mathcal{M}(T) span Fn,1\mathbf{F}^{n,1}. (d) The rows of M(T)\mathcal{M}(T) span F1,n\mathbf{F}^{1,n}. (e) The rows of M(T)\mathcal{M}(T) are linearly independent in F1,n\mathbf{F}^{1,n}. Here M(T)\mathcal{M}(T) means M(T,(u1,…,un),(v1,…,vn))\mathcal{M}(T, (u_1, \ldots, u_n), (v_1, \ldots, v_n)).
