Problem

Prove Proposition 4.1.3 and the fact that the length of γ\gamma does not change under reparametrization. Hint. Assume γ\gamma, σ\sigma, and τ\tau are smooth. Start with the definition of ∫σf\int_{\sigma} f, apply the chain rule to σ=γ∘τ\sigma = \gamma \circ \tau, and then use the change of variables formula, Theorem A.0.6.
